Oftentimes dainty women's dressing tables like this one were given as wedding gifts. Although it is missing its original vanity mirror, we can almost imagine a young woman seated before it, applying makeup. Small and low to the ground, it's decorated with classical motifs such as an antique cameo, arabesques and floral swags.
